About intraoperative neuromonitoring
Intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM or IOM) is an essential clinical service that ensures the safety of patients undergoing surgical procedures that place the brain, spinal cord and nerves at risk.

By providing on-demand, real-time information about the patient’s neurophysiological status during surgery, we are able to help physicians, hospitals and surgical facilities improve outcomes and minimize risks.

IONM consists of both a technical and professional component. The monitoring is performed by a Surgical Neurophysiologist in the operating room (technical component) and is overseen remotely in real-time by an online neurologist. Together, an experienced Surgical Neurophysiologist along with certified, experienced professional interpretation melds the high-level technology and specialized neurological background needed to provide patient safety and positive outcomes.
